Plain-language summary
We never read, store, or transmit what you type. The keyboard extension processes your text locally to detect sentence boundaries, then sends sentences to an AI API only when you trigger a correction — never in the background.
We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app. You can contact us at any time to ask what data we hold about you or to have it deleted.

Who we are
Nosinė (also referred to as “Lietuvify”) is an iOS keyboard extension developed by Justas Kondratavičius based in Lithuania, European Union.

What data we collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate and improve the app.
Typed text
Not collected. We never read, log, or store the content you type. Sentences sent for AI correction are transmitted directly to the AI API and are not retained by us.
Usage analytics
Anonymous, aggregated data: app opens, feature interactions (e.g. correction triggered, mode changed), and session length. No personally identifiable information is included.
Crash & error reports
Anonymised crash logs including device model, iOS version, and stack trace. No typed content is ever included in crash reports.
Purchase data
Subscription status (free / Pro) managed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We never see your payment details.
Contact data
If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message solely to respond to your inquiry.

How AI correction works & what leaves your device
When you trigger a correction (manually via the quill button, or automatically after sentence-ending punctuation), the current sentence is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to OpenRouter — a third-party AI API provider — for processing.
What is sent
The sentence(s) being corrected, and nothing else. No keyboard history, no surrounding context beyond the current paragraph.
When it is sent
Only on explicit user action or auto-trigger. Never passively in the background.
Retention by OpenRouter
Subject to OpenRouter's own privacy policy. We do not store the corrected or original sentences ourselves. We encourage you to review
openrouter.ai/privacy.
Full Access permission: iOS requires “Allow Full Access” for network-capable keyboard extensions. This permission is used solely to make API calls for AI correction. It does not give us access to your clipboard or anything typed in other apps outside a correction request.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
Under GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
Contract performance
Sending sentences to the AI API is necessary to provide the core correction service you have requested.
Legitimate interests
Anonymous analytics and crash reporting to maintain app stability and improve the user experience.
Consent
Where required by applicable law, we will ask for your consent before collecting additional data.

Third-party services
The app integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.
Apple / StoreKit
In-app purchase and subscription management. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party for advertising purposes.

Data retention
- Typed text: never stored — not subject to retention.
- Anonymous analytics: retained in aggregated form for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Crash logs: retained for up to 12 months.
- Email correspondence: retained for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry, then deleted.

Your rights under GDPR
As a user in the EU, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Children's privacy
Nosinė is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Security
All data transmitted to third-party services is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Local app state shared between the main app and keyboard extension is stored in an iOS App Group, which is sandboxed and inaccessible to other apps.
No security measure is perfect. If you discover a vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly by emailing nosine.app@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also display a notice within the app.
Continued use of Nosinė after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
